According to legend, ancient Hawaiian Moon Signs can be traced back
to 200A.D. when Kauai, the oldest of the Hawaiian islands, was home
to the Menehune, a race of tiny people who were exceptional artisans
and stone work masons. Folklore says the Menehune would work at night
creating vast projects such as the Menehune fishpond (still seen today
on Kauai) and by day would carve individual birth signs, based on the
Hawaiian Moon Calendar, into lava rock. Tradition has it that those
born under a Hawaiian Moon Sign will always carry with them the gift
